For a while now I’ve been sharing my Home Assistant setups, homelab tinkering and DIY projects here on the blog. Writing things down works well, but some projects simply make more sense when you can see them in action. That’s why I’ve started a YouTube channel: @rutg3rcom.

What to expect on the channel

In the near future I’ll be uploading videos about:

  • Home Assistant automations, dashboards and integrations
  • Smart home hardware and wall tablet setups
  • Homelab and self-hosting projects
  • DIY home and garden builds, like my driveway gate and garden irrigation
  • Small Android tools I build to solve my own smart home annoyances

Many videos will go hand in hand with a blog post here, so you can watch how it works and then grab the full configuration and code from the article.

Subscribe and stay tuned

The channel is just getting started, so there isn’t much to watch yet, but that will change soon. If you’d like to follow along, subscribe to the channel and hit the bell so you don’t miss the first videos.

Got a project you’d like to see on video? Let me know in the comments.
