At the beginning of this year I already experienced with a XAP 800 microphone mixer, bought from eBay, but unfortunately now after 6 months some cracking noises are send thru the speakers so I bought a second one, also from eBay. The prices now are quite low. You can buy them under 100 US dollar.
In almost every room on my house I installed little ceiling speakers. These will be used for background music and speak commands only. No fency high quality music.
I configured macro’s in the setup of this device. These macro’s can be activated via events in my home automation system.
